He takes life's small indignities seriously, so you don't have to.

Meet Stonewall Slim

Stonewall Slim

Vocals & Guitar

Stonewall Slim sings the blues the old way, about the new troubles. Junk mail. Robocalls. The line at CVS. The raccoon that keeps winning. Where the old masters sang about the levee breaking, Slim sings about the dump closing early on a Saturday.

The Origin

Where the Blues Came From

Nobody is born with the blues. Slim got his the hard way.

As a young man, Slim was handed a baby crow by the Devil himself. That bird, the Blues Crow, has been riding on his shoulder ever since, and every note Slim plays comes with a price he's still paying. So you'll forgive him for being a little sore about folks typing a few words into a computer and calling it the blues.

Satan

Talent Agent

The Devil himself, and the one who handed young Slim the Blues Crow. Still considers it one of his better deals.

The Blues Crow illustration

The Blues Crow

Bringer of the Blues

A gift from Satan that Slim never asked for and can't get rid of. Wherever that bird lands, trouble follows: the flat tire, the busted fridge, the junk mail that never stops. Slim's got the blues because the crow keeps bringing them.

The Fine Print

About the Project

Stonewall Slim is an original character created by Camel Crew Records. Every song starts with a real-life annoyance and a human sense of humor, then gets brought to life with a mix of songwriting, comedy and AI tools for the music and video. Slim himself would like it noted that he does not approve.
